Black & White photography provides a simpler and often surreal view of the subject. Rather than focusing on bright colors the viewer can concentrate on the form and composition of the image. Our services include high resolution scanning, archival printing, portraiture and landscape photography.

OUR PROCESS
For our original photography, we use traditional film to capture the image with the combination of the latest digital technology to scan and print on high quality media that will give archival print-life spans (>100 years). The final high resolution scan can be burned to cd's or lower resolution versions can be generated for use on the Web.

RETOUCHING
Inherent to digital processes is the capability for image retouching. Whether a speck of dust, serious damage, or unsightly components the image can be modified to provide more pleasing aesthetics. Please contact us to discuss such modifications.

FILM FORMATS
Formats we handle are 35mm, 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, and 6x9. File sizes for 35mm range from ~20 MB (Megabyte = 1,024,000 bytes) for 8-bit B&W , up to ~50 MB for 16-bit scans. Medium format scans range from ~60 MB up to ~263 MB depending on size of negative and bit depth for the B&W channel. We strive to provide the highest quality scan for whatever the final end use.
